As someone in the market for a tune, I think this would be terrific.

Props to Shiv for proposing it. And Boo to any tuner who wouldn't participate.

Only because it's in the West Coast. lol!

But from the sounds of what Shiv is saying, sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Too, bad you guys are too far.
With that being said, would be nice if the tuners could arrange their EAST Coast reps to do something like this for the east coasters...

I've already committed to doing it. Haven't heard from anyone else though. It may just end up with me coming to LA with a bunch of test units to loan out. If other tuners want to come and loan out their products the same day so people can make direct comparisons, they are more than welcome to do so. I'll even bring tools and food for them

Cheers,
Shiv

Robert and I have been on the phone nonstop since the morning. Just leave a message. Or just call back later today when phone volume slows down.

Here's a silly question, if you do this and someone decides they like the tune, just pay for the tune on the spot, any additional charges etc? Might be a good idea for someone who wants a tune but is daunted by the possibility of opening the ECU connections, breaking a clip etc.? Oh and kudos for the idea and participation of any tuners!

BMS said they are looking forward to the event and it might be a good opportunity for customers to feel JB3 2.0. You'll need to coordinate with them on the details.

I can't speak for the other tuners, but we can certainly sell the product on the spot. But we encourage anyone interested in a tune to try ALL the tunes. But yes, if you want to keep it in, you can. I'll just be sure to bring enough to go around between purchased and loaner units.

As of now, I have received an email of interest from Powerchips and BMS which is great. Hoping to hear from GIAC, ESS and others. They know how to reach me (shiv@vishnutuning.com). Once I get a tally of everyone who is coming, I'll update the list with details and potential dates. This should be a lot of fun

Shiv

Sounds like Shiv is confident in his offering. Will tuners be allowed to bring beta products too? Or will this be limited to products that are available now?

I know just about everyone, at any time, will have some things they are beta testing to some degree or another. But it would make sense to limit this comparison to products that are currently available at the time of the event. This, of course, would include beta-labeled products just as long as they are publicly available/downloadable. Hopefully, we can settle on a date in the not-to-distant future were all the new stuff that we are all currently working on (v4, jb3 2.0, giac stg 2, etc,.) are released. Again, this isn't my event so the opinions of anyone else is welcome.
