Spoiler fitted

I know lots of people have done this but I'm posting anyway. I was thinking about the CSL boot mod but these spoilers are so easy to do and not that expensive. Plus I won't have to worry about fitting a well aligned boot lid and then hoping the rain wont leak in.

Light was not the best for these pics but good enough to show some end results. Like an LSD, I think 335s should have come with this as standard.

I have been worried about bit's of tape keeping this thing in place. It's now day 3 and so far it's still in place. Even after a few high speed dashes on a dual carriageway. The bond is only supposed to get stronger during the first few days so it should all be good.

I may lose some top end speed but maybe my wheels will be planted a bit more for added traction. Doubt it. Vanity!

Tape should be fine. Although if I remember right its best to bond when the temp is about 16 degrees and above.

Looks great
Proper 3M tape will never let go if it's applied properly.

1) Scrupulously clean the boot lid edge where it's going with Isopropanol alcohol.
2) I did pre-fit of the lip and once in the right place, used a NON permanent pen to mark exactly where the edge will be. It can then be easily removed with a bit of the Isopropanol.
3) Once the backing is removed off the 3M tape, you'll struggle to remove it, so be careful!

Excellent upgrade. I love mine too and makes the rear more purposeful.

Just got a duty invoice from FedEx today, about 2 weeks after receiving the item! Thought I was home and dry. £18.

I used lots of warm soapy (dish soap) water to degrease the car. The tape they gave me wasn't 3M but I'm sure it's a Chinese clone. Acryllic double sided. Seems well fixed although I'm not going to try and get it off at this early stage. Added as much tape as I could to be certain it stays put.

I sent Steve info on the Ebay seller I used but it's an E92 spoiler. Anyone got a good E90 spoiler seller for him before I troll through the search history?

Get a lot of good feedback on the F30 forum, apparently the paint match is good

Mine hasn't arrived yet

Could you let me know honest opinion when they arrive please? Had bad experience of spoilers fitting!

Many Thanks

Steve

I think that the car has to be a 6 cylinder to fit one of these. Putting it on a 4 pot (like mine) just wouldn't feel right. Bit like 'all show, no go'

I'm putting one on mine and don't give a shit what other people think. It's the best looking spoiler for the e92

You should ask seller to mark as gift when sending or sample, that way less chance of import duty/tax
