Wastegate rattle fix with JB4?

I just purchased the JB4 Stage 3 tune for my n54 and was wondering if there's a way to fix the wastegate rattle with this tuner?

On laptop set future use D to 99 in the jb4 settings.
Made mine better, than went in for service they updated my CPU.
after I put the jb4 back in it was like driving a new car, no rattle.

I wasnt a believer of the JB4 wasyegate rattle fix...being that my turbos have rattled since I bought the car (almost 20k miles)..last weekend a buddy of mine convinced me to try the rattle fix and now 95% of the noise is gone, car pulls better and feels lighter from a stop, and I can peel out so easy that people probably think I'm a dumbass lol

Still in shock at how well the wastegate rattle fix worked on the JB4

My other question is, how do I get the program to use the JB4 on my laptop? I don't just plug in my laptop to the usb and a program installs right? Do I download it from somewhere?

download the blue link named 3/25 interface download http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10605

once you do:
1) Download it
2) Open the folder
3) install the USB drivers
4) Hit the setup.exe icon to install the interface
5) Plug in the USB cord to your computer thats running from the USB
6) go to start -> my computer -> right-click -> properties -> hardware -> device manager -> and find with COM#
7) Open JB4 interface
8) Type in COM # and to go file -> connect
9) play around with the JB4 interface, be careful about changing settings if you don't know what they can do though.

upload the latest firmware if you haven't, there are substantial difference between the old 3/19 firmware and the newest 5/19 Alpha firmware.

To use the wastegate rattle fix, set Future Use D = 99 in the second tab in the JB4 interface. It may or may not work, depending on the condition of your wastegates.

What did u set options 10 and 12 too? I set my option 10 to one and option 12 to 0. The rattle goes away but the car feel sluggish. I havent been able to find anything in between. If I set option 10 to anything above 1 it rattles.

Was using the menu 10 (set at 800rpm)on the jb4 to hide my rattle until today. Replaced the actuator with a New one and my rattle is gone... car feels quicker too... it's super easy all you need is a 10mm wrench and a new e clip... did it in twenty minutes..

Set fud (future use d) to 98. Not 99.

98 ninety eight. 99 stops adaptation.

Come on guys easy fix. I belive more Mr.5 ; a forum member did this fix. I did it myself last week, man does it spool up.qiucker.

What I'm really surprised is that my 335 would idle really ruff on cold start up, now it idles super smooth on cold start up and no more dreaded rattle.

The mr.5 is only a temporary fix. The actuator arm is only a small part of the problem. After the mr.5 fix the rattle will come back. The wastegate flapper assembly will become lose. Ive tried everything. The only real fix is new turbos.

Jake which e-clip did you use ? So you used the same rod and just replaced the e clip. Can you give a brief explination how you performed this ? Did you do both or just the rear. I assume just the rear as it took you only 35 minutes.

Thanks,
