Reset fault codes with Torque Pro and OBD Fusion

Hi,

I've used Torque Pro with OBD II BT to clear fault codes, but the codes never really went away from the car computer, the SES went away in a couple days, I am not sure if the SES light would go away by itself anyway. But when my indie garage guy clear the fault codes, they are gone.

What did I do wrong? Or Torque Pro just cannot clear the fault codes properly?

I also just purchased OBD Fusion app but have not tried to clear codes yet,
has anyone successfully clear fault codes with any of these consumer apps?
And do they have any side affects with the car SW?

FYI, these are the injector fault codes that appear after a CBU clean.
I want to clear them to see if they come back, just to validate if these codes
are legit, as I've read DDE flags many injector codes after CBU clean are not
really any mechanical issues.

Torque Pro has been able to clear all of the codes on mine, but I haven't had injector codes. Are you sure the codes aren't cleared and simply being thrown as soon as you crank?

With Torque, try having the car such that the ignition is on, but the engine is not running, then touch the clear code button, then turn the ignition off. This should work to clear the codes.

I am not referring to just Injector codes, I had other codes before like MAF and NOX sensor, and they stayed in the system as well. The screen said completed and all the codes are gone, but if I do another scan they come right back. When my indie garage clear the MAF, Nox and injector codes they are gone from Torque scan as well.

Recently, I have another injector code and trying to clear it. I have not done it with OBD Fusion.

Wow... that worked like a charm.

I've always cleared the faults while the engine is running.
Let's hope these injector faults do not come back

Thanks TDIwyse

Yes, it reads Pending and Active. It only gives you the standard obd2 codes though.
