Does this still have the lid that opens and closes like the ashtray? it looks like it does? I thought other trays like this I've seen were made without a lid and just open all the time.

Yes it does have the lid, you will need to take off the trim piece from original ash tray and mount it on this one for a complete look.

ahh ok. That's part of the reason I'm looking for one. I took the wood grain part off to try to wrap it like the rest of my trim but can't get it to go back on securely. I think I bent/possibly damaged the little tabs or areas that kind of snap/hold it together.

Yeah I know it's hard to get it off. You have to be very careful when taking the trim apart. Don't remember if there's any clips on the trim, but everything on this tray piece is intact.
