Dash/Steering Wheel touch-up

I have a couple of small spots on the dash (gauge cowl) and steering wheel where the black finish is gone and it appears white. Anyone know of an inexpensive repair for this? Saw one thread where a guy fixed his leatherette seats, but I'm not wanting to spend $100 for something this small.
