Garage List
But to answer your question - it's very hard. It's more along the lines of accepting swirls and then getting rid of them by machine polishing when they have built up enough to bother you. And then starting the cycle over

Jet Black is the best looking color by far -- for about 10 minutes. Good washing technique will minimize swirls but not eliminate it. If you cannot wash your car at least every other week (and wash yourself, not some car wash)and cannot keep it garaged, I would not recommend black. If you can do those things, and will get it professionally buffed every couple of years, then go for black.

Weekly wash, monthly wax, yearly machine polish.

A Porter-Cable 7336 is $110. Totally worth the money!

if you don't do your own weekly car care, forget black. black is a misleading color since you see it in its full glory all squeaky clean for photos on this forum. most of the time it can look dull and nothing compared to the pics you see.

If you are not prepared to put in the time to maintain the colour, then do not get a black car. As said already, black will look good for a brief amount of time if not cared for. If you could care less about methodically washing and waxing your car, then just get silver.

Yes, black is a pain in the @$$. But it is still completely worth it once it is detailed!

Flat black is very hard, Sapphire(sp?) black is more forgiving.
