Help: Angel Eye Out When Headlight On

I have an 07 e92 with LED Weisslicht angel eyes for many years now. Resently the driver's side angel eye would go out when I turn on the headlights. When headlights are off the driver's side angel eye would come back on. So am I having a ballast problem? Thanks for replies on this.

If you were having a ballast problem your headlight would not come on at all. Good chance your angel is starting to fail.

Have you tried to install your oem H8 bulbs back in to see if that works first?

I have not tried to put stock H8 bulb back in yet. Will have free time this weekend to do this. Hopefully this is the problem.

Lets hope it's really the angel eyes. For sure it's not your ballast around though so no worries.

Good luck!

Looks like the led angel eye is going bad. Swapped with stock H8 bulb to test and works fine with lights on and off. Either will replace with Lux or Dtec.

Ha! Thank god it's only that. My guess is right about the led is starting to short out and when you turn on your headlights it dims it a bit and cuts power completely to your AE so that's how they become related somehow. Makes a little sense.

I have Mtec AE, they're great when looking at it from a distance and straight on.
