2006 E90 Halo out - no, wait, it's back!

Chalk another one up for weird BMW electronics - a light out warning was displayed about a week ago, and sure enough, it was the $$$$ freakin' halo. You know, the 59c part with a $250 labor charge.

Anyways, I resolved to just ignore the warning forevermore, hey, it's an older car now (bought in 2005, 105K miles) until I noticed today that I wasn't getting the error message any more.

Get out of the car, and yep, it's lit up.

Previously, when I was getting the error message, it was not illuminated.

If I were the conspiratorial sort, I'd be a bit suspicious about this, but hey, I'll take it, and I'll chalk it up to yet another weird electronics glitch on BMW...

Same thing happened to my wife's E90. Halo out. Took off the wheel, it was just a loose connection. I just touched it and it came back on. I took pliers and pinched them a little. Its been going strong for 3 years now.

My passenger AE just went out a few days ago, I bought the car with a pair of aftermarket white AE. Hopefully the previous owner installed a plug and play set, rather than splicing the wire.

Same thing with a fog light recently. Intermittently working vs. bulb out warning. Super annoying. Suppose I should see if anything is loose...

Having arthritis in the hands sucks in many ways.... and stealerships don't help. I actually posted a thread about my halo experience a while back, look at my post history to find it...
