Looks like the E92 M3 will give the old model a run for the money in the looks department.

Heavily disguised pics of the 3 series convertible, they seem to think that thats a canvas top

"The cars are heavily disguised with black padding but it is clear that these vehicles are the new 3 Series drop-top and Rolls-Royce convertible.

These photos confirm again that BMW is opting for a canvas top for the cabriolet and not getting on the folding metal roof bandwagon.

Our photos also confirm that BMW is close to unveil the production version of Rolls-Royce's 100EX concept car.

Both cabriolets will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.

BMW will also showcase other new 3 Series derivatives such as the coupe and possibly the M3 at Paris. BMW's 1 Series coupe could also be unveiled in September"

Yes, BMW were testing canvas and metal folding top for the E93.

But the production car will have metal folding top.

Made of a very lightweight yet strong metal.

Man, looks like the new e93 (whatever they will call it) can be used in rally competitions
But how do they manage to identify its a BMW? if its was not the side mirrors or the 162's I would have no idea what is that thing....
Anyone thinks they actually have someone to cover the car in mud?

BMW has allready officially said that the E93 will be a folding metal top. They also announced the partnership with the supplier that will be building the metal roof.

Any impressions of canvas tops on the E93 come from intentional cameo.

hmm.... if you look closely at the roof of those convertables, you can see the division lines... one above the BPiler and another where the back window end.. that clearly is a tin top..

I know... it looks hot, but hot only because the e90 and e92 got like zero flaring, car having been supersized... need those extra bends and curves for the cut and sculpting.

It's subtle flaring even for a M series imho.

Well, the E90+ 3er does have flaring.. its just very neatly integrated into the car. In some way, you could say the entire front fender is an integrated flaring for the front wheels. Its not very noticable because the curves that constitute the flaring is very carefully grafted to the design of the car. This M3 picture follows the same principle. It's just more pronounced then the regular versions.

I actually really like this approach. Its like the car is...... an iron fist, but it has a silk glove covering it... It shows just enough muscle to let you know its there, but also the good graces not to show off. And I think that's what an M car should be.. .

good lord...I can't believe it's been this long and we have ZERO official info.

I'm hoping for a debut at the NY Auto Show too...but wth happened to "a few weeks after Geneva"???

The waiting is actually kind of irritating at this point.
