07' BMW 328i coupe vs 07' Infiniti G35 coupe

I'm getting a new car soon, and I'm stuck between the 328i coupe and the G35 coupe. I like the 328i coupe a bit more, but I feel like its lacking a little power. I guess my main question is: Is the BMW a better daily driver?

If so what color?

There are a few other things I guess I should add to this post: I'm 18 so the insurance is a big factor, my parents think the 335i is to fast, and unfortunately they won't allow a manual no matter what car I go with.

Between a 328 and a g37, I'd go g37 but between a 328 and just a g35, I'd go 328 without a doubt.

328 does lack power a bit, but if you get it in manual it should be much faster then auto tranny version. i would go with 328i for sure over g35. make sure to get sport package at least.

Def go with the BMW. I was looking at G35s before I bought mine and I don't regret it at all.

No? lol

OP, are you strictly after a naturally aspirated car? I'd say go with the 335i, but it isn't one of your options. If it's not power you are after, go with the 328i. If you are after power, go with a 335i, not a G.

328i for sure. Much better than a G35.

this. im a 6 speed only guy and the quality of the finish and the handling of the bmw sedan sold me over the g. the exhaust note is sweet imo from the g, but the finish just isnt there. it wasnt as quiet and overall it just didnt have the same solid feel. but as the guy i quoted said, if your getting an auto and you just want the extra power while staying n/a, the g might be a better option.

as for color, no one can tell you that. thats completely your own preference

Go with the 328i manual. Much more refined than the G35.

VQ35 was nice. But the inline 6 is my favorite.
I kind of miss my G.

depends what you're looking for in a daily driver... but imo (as well as pretty much this entire BMW forum lol), the e92 328 is "nicer" and "better" overall except in power mods.

It is Infiniti. Not Infinity.

And I would take a G35 any day of the week over a 328i. I rather drive a Camry with more power than a 328i..

There are a few other things I guess I should add to this post: I'm 18 so the insurance is a big factor, my parents think the 335i is to fast, and unfortunately they won't allow a manual no matter what car I go with.[/QUOTE]

That's weird my dad actually forced me to get a manual he didn't listen to my mom telling me to get an automatic. It was the best thing that was ever forced onto me though. Now I'm a manual guy for life. Try to convice your parents of the benefits, better fuel efficiency and better control in the snow. I mean you are their precious child wouldn't they want what's best for you?

I wish that was the case, but for some reason my parents don't want me to get a manual. "It is a distraction"- my dads words, I responded with- "I have to be paying attention to the road and RPM's if I'm driving a manual or i won't know when to shift." Im pretty sure he just doesnt want me racing, and thats the main reason I can't get a manual.

the 328i is a very smooth car and a great daily driver. Had both a 2007 coupe and a 2007 xi sedan and both were great. G35 is nice but I was never a big fan of the interior.
