How did you afford to post this thread on this forum?!...making 600-800 kopeks a year hardly affords you the internet time to post here...

Even though this is a joke topic, one of our friends is in that ballpark for their household income. They're both doctors. The husband just bought a used Z3, which he treats like his baby. The wife got a Lexus SUV 4 years ago. So for whatever reason, they don't even have a 2k7 328 or 335. I joined this forum because it was exciting to me to think about a 335, then order it, and go through the delivery process. No offense to those who are conscientous here, but after actually owning a BMW, there are times when I see very few intelligent posts on the forum. Seems like the people who are intelligent join this forum to get info, they order their cars, they track the orders, take delivery, and they are never heard from again.

Hold on a Second... Let me introduce you to the point... I know you missed it, it obviously went zinging by. You're not alone, Seems John 070 also missed it. So you're in uh... Company anyway.

Maybe the OPs Sarcasm light is burnt out, but he is indeed using Sarcasm.

John 070 isn't however, he's using yet another variation of the "Hey Looky at me" and substitutes his "600k a year Friends". Thus instead of slinging his own E-penis onto the Block he is borrowing his much more successful friends e-penis which is also just a bit um.... Ghey. NOT ONLY that, But he goes on to say

So AFTER getting the BMW he became somehow enlightened and in this newly attained state of intellectual superiority can now see how FEW intelligent posts there are. Perhaps the Admins can give him a Special "Intelligent Stamp" he can use to bless those threads and posts he NOW deems "Intelligent"? Amazing that BMW doesn't use this trait of their vehicles as a marketing tool. "BMW...Makes You smarter." I think it would sell...

Oh and by implication, the regulars here. Yeah, you all are clearly on the short bus, cause you hang out here. Interesting.

he he... Anyway, this whole thread is a welcome relief from the stuffy self righteous types that seem to permeate this board. It's a shame, cause there is an amazing amount of Quality information here, shame so many take themselves so seriously or start believing their own press releases. (Not referring to you)

In closing I'd offer a sincere... "Lighten up Francis"

wow, what a great thread, i woulda never thought of bringing up this topic. if i could buy a car or a house in cash i wouldn't, i'd pay monthly and invest the money. i also wouldn't want $500k+ in cash, i'd rather invest in a property.

Only two things come out of Nebraska.

Steers and queers.

Which one are you, boy?

I just don't want to screw it up when you guys would have filled me in on the socioeconomic status/income/ which BMW to buy Ratio.

Another question, is it worth paying cash for a car vs. leasing so that I don't have to write a check each month? Considering I make 327/hour based on a 40hour week, that's about 5.45/minute. If I spend 10 minutes/month writing a check thats 54.50 lost, Which is great enough to offset the savings in leasing vs cash. Do you all concur?

Maybe you could post your feedback, as far as your income/which BMW ratio is and why.................
No silly, if you are leasing and can't find the time to right the check, (because you are too busy posting these profound questions in this forum), simply set up automatic bill pay. Its fast and easy. Just stick a million in your checking account to cover all your bills, and set them up for auto payment. Its quick and simple. And make sure you put away a few million in your savings account for emergencies, and retirement. Also have a backup plan just in case you lose your job. However if you aren't even making a million a year, it is going to take you a few years to accomplish some of those goals. So you should probably wait before spending money so lavishly on a 335i. Especially after taxes, if could be a few years before you are comfortably in a position to make such an important purchase decision.
