BMW Performance Intake fitting

installed my bmw performance intake yesterday.
i think the guy that helped me out installing did not have that good of skills and accuracy,

i was wondering if this is okay, if it still work then im gonna be fine.
we can see at the bottom between the CF parts and the air filter cover has a bit space.

There really is no way to mess up the install. Both pieces are fixed in their locations with various mounting screws. They just fit. I'm thinking that you might not have a genuine OEM intake--is it a knockoff?

Im sure for its originality but i think the installing process got wrong.

There should be a slight gap there (kind of like a body gap). But there's a DIY on here somewhere, you should check it out also. Mine went in super easy, but that gap is uniform.

Has it thrown any engine codes? If not then I'm sure it's fine.

I dont think so since i havent drive it a lot after the installation. But im afraid if the filter housing cover will be to tight with the cf and might damage it.

Simple tools to unscrew, do some wiggling and you're golden. The only thing ill worry about is not to damage the carbon fiber, you won't throw any codes with that type of intake.

Yea, I'm not sure what you mean by work? It's mostly a cosmetic piece I imagine. Maybe a couple HP at top end.
