I understand that due to the tcu this cant be done. I read the other thread where sihk335 was trying to use an 08 trans for his pre 03/07. Does anyone know if this worked? I'd pm him directly but it looks as if he is banned. I found a pretty good deal on a 08 and wanted to make sure before I pulled the trigger.

Well, looks like the coasts are pretty well covered. Anyone in the DFW area doing this? I will pay handsomely for this mod, and by handsomely I mean literally tens of dollars!

Also, it would be nice to have a directory of who, and where members are performing this flash. It would be awesome to just look it up and PM that person.

I wasn't buying into all this hoopla about the trans flash. But i'll tell you, i've had it for a few weeks now and it makes driving a car with paddles fun. So much fun that I got some m3 paddles on the way because of it!

for anyone with a pre-03/07 trans, can you post the hardware assembly number of your transmission from inside INPA? (listed as bmw part number)
I ask not because I have an older trans, but because I am curious about the data files in the trans software folder... Also, does anyone know how to determine what the software number of the stock trans is? Alpina flash is 7615835, and I have found 5 different software files listed for E90 N54B30, but do not know which one is the stock version |

Actually this is nail-biting.
I'm installing WinKFP with the latest DATEN files RIGHT NOW. I hope I don't run into trouble, I'm not going to get much support here in Malaysia. Anyone has any idea how long the actual flashing would take? I heard 15mins but I think it should be around 5mins? |
