So I spilled two gallons of motor oil in the back seat...

Thought you guys might get a laugh out of my misfortune. I had a 2.5 gallon bottle of motor oil that somehow managed to leak all in my back seat. I went through about 30 pounds of kitty litter to soak it all up, but the rear carpet was a total loss. I pulled the carpet out and cleaned everything up.

I ordered a full set of carpet out of a totaled e90 M that was $300 shipped, and was in great condition. I only replaced the rear section.

I got the new carpet in last night and got everything buttoned back up.

Sounds like a solid L. I have caught a similar one myself when I had a pudding explode in my back seat lol.

My fun one was a quart container of red gatorade powder opened in my trunk. Got everywhere.

In a previous car, I ordered Indian curry take out and I made the mistake of putting it on the back seat.

Can you guess what happened?

Yes, it spilled and my car smelled like an Indian restaurant for months.

Well, one of my kids kicked the jug over climbing into his seat, still don't know how the foil seal and cap came off.

LOL.

I bought a 5 gallon jug and put it in the trunk of my M5, several power slides and days later, I opened the trunk to find out that half the jug was empty... the oil seeped so hard into the floor that I couldn't even find a stain ! Pulled up the lid, and there it was... all over the modules - several days later, my differential module tossed me his resignation.

Lesson learned.

Good recovery, man. Btw, any explanation containing the word "kids" or "wife" makes sense to me.
