Really quick LCI question
Hi all
Really quick question I am thinking to do a LCI msport conversion on my e93 335i SE. I wanted to do a one stage at a time, therefore I was wondering, would Pre-lci head lights fit on an LCI msport bumper? Bearing in mind my car is a 07 E93. Thanks |

Some advice from someone who did the front-end LCI conversion on the coupe; don't do it unless you are truly in love with the car inside and out, and you can absolutely afford to spend several thousand on a purely cosmetic mod. I was ecstatic with the final transformation, I think OEM LED corona rings look infinitely better than any aftermarket solution. I also think the LCI E92 looks better than pre-lci in every way. However, it is ridiculously expensive and a ton of work. Personally I find the work fun so getting everything coded and installing everything was a blast.
But after everything you're looking at several thousand dollars, and LCI cars are depreciating hard right now. If you aren't absolutely in love with this car, or rich, don't do it. Also, reselling the car is a bitch having to explain why it looks like a 2011 car when it is older, and they look at you like you've done something crazy. Reselling the pre-lci parts is much harder than you'd think, too. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't have done it. I would have simply saved up for an LCI car and appreciated my pre-lci for what it was. |

Don't think it's challenging but there are a lot of parts you need to buy to do a proper conversion. At a minimum you will need to buy a new hood, bumper, headlights, air ducts, fender liners etc.. not to mention, you will need to pay to have everything painted.

Honestly the most difficult part about the retrofit is watching the cost get higher and higher, especially when you only have half the parts and are basically all-in at that point. Everything to do with the installation is super easy, and there are plenty of remote coders out there who will do the coding for cheap.
