The Apprentice 2012

Is anyone here watching The Apprentice this season?

It's half-way through and I think Lord Sugar just fired one of the top contenders.

If you're referring to that useless Tosser last night. I disagree.

thats why they get useless tossers - it makes good tv laughing at their ineptitude!

Its a TV show not a genuine interview/investment process...

Na, the guy fired last night did nothing except moan a bit. As usual none of them are spectacular but he was far from the best.

The little Scottish girl would get my vote and probably not for her business abilities.

If I had a pound for the number of times he said the word 'strategy' I could have invested £250k myself.

I didnt actually think he was that bad in terms of his thinking and business mind. I think the fact that his voice didnt have impact when he spoke is what let him down and he wasnt very good at articulating his views clearly.

I did think the PM should have gone - pathetic performance and annoying in many ways.

Tom and Nick seem like the strongest candidates to me, although the market trader is quite good, there is something very irratating about him (streetwise, but cant see him lasting in many board level type sessions).

P.S - although the quality of candidates seems to dropping every year, for some reason I keep watching it...wierd eh?!

Just my 2p worth...

Very good point. I wish I could have spoken for him lol, or even Tom defend him more!! But yeh I totally agree with you.

Definitely the candidates are getting worse! Nevertheless it's great TV! (better than some of the crapp out there)

He does seem to have some good ideas and his calm approach to things is quite rateable...a stark contrast to the usual 'manic' behaviour displayed by most other candidates...

+2. The guy was a joke with his continuous whiny voice. Having said that I do agree with the comments about the PM, she was so out of her depth. Up till that point she actually has been good

Agreed it is good TV, but two things annoy me:
1) the "tasks" are all one offs and so irrelevant to real life business - they all seem to be about ripping off the customer because there is never any long term element to them
2) Lord Sugar must already have decided which existing business he might partner with, so when the dreaded finger is pointed, the real message is "I'm not interested in refrigeration" (what Azar last night did)

All good telly of course. Oh yes, and that Scottish lass - I would.

Mike.

You know what was funny... When he got fired... in the taxi on the way home. he said he thought the PM should have been fired as she had no strat-taa- jey. Then he said that there must have been a strat-taa- jey to fire him all along because he was the strongest candidate.

I just thought that was hilarious. Also he is rather mouse like. Still though on balance the PM shouldve been fired.
