Looks really good mate

I've done it on mine, I think the dual exhaust finishes the rear of the e90 off perfectly

Cheers mate - get 4" tips - they fill the cut-outs nicely.

Atleast you left your 330d badge. How's the sound?
The sound is the same - I wasn't bothered about changing it (being a diesel), plus my insurance said that if the original silencer (muffler to you) was replaced with 2 smaller ones, there would be nothing extra to pay (as there would be minimal performance difference).

Thanks to everyone for your encouraging comments

Can't see there being a problem with any noise Danny. Good luck.

Any chance you could take a couple underchassis shots?

Here you are. Best I could do I am afraid before work this morning.

Was there anything in particular that you wanted to see?

Suggestion: time to debadge the beast? Cleaner looks and easy to wash, polish and wax.

I know this may become controversial but as I said earlier, it's your car and you pay for it and its upkeep, so do as you please.

I know what you mean about the cleaner looks, wash and polish etc and I have considered this in the past for these reasons.

Previously I took a pic of the back so that I had an exact reference of where the badges were if I wanted to replace them. This also gave me the chance to photoshop the badges out so that I could see what it would look like with them removed - I didn't like it

It looked too plain - like before the lip spoiler. Of course this is just a personal preference on this car / colour / what I am used to seeing etc - I have seen plenty of de-badged cars that I like.

Yep, fair comment. I just felt that the angled cut of these tips and the slope of the diffuser, they would compliment each other if the tips were more flush.

I really like this! Did the company put any heat shielding on the other side now?

No they didn't and I am going to keep an eye on it, but I had it out for a decent run yesterday and everything looks fine. I may get some heat shield matting anyway to be on the safe side.

I suppose in theory, each pipe shouldn't get quite as hot as before because the exhaust gasses are split into two?

Love the dual pipes!
It has always bugged me that on Audi even the lower engines like 2.0 TDI gets tips on both sides.
With BMW its only the 335!

Think these tips look even better than those on a 335.
Nice!

I chose them at the place that did the job (exhaustafix in Darlington) they had a wide selection on hand to look at. I took the diffuser in with me and offered up a few until I decided what I wanted.

They are 4" diameter - but I can't see them on their website - http://www.exhaustafix.co.uk/exhaust...es/tail-pipes/

Looks nice. I had this done on my old 330d and looked fantastic. I opted for no silencers at all, and the sound was hardly any different and certainly didn't drone at and speed. Totally straight through.

As for the fitting of your pipes, personally I think they look sweet as they are. Sitting out would look too chavvy IMHO.
