New Sub Install

Hi all i finally pulled the trigger on a subwoofer install, i bought a Sundown Audio SA-12, and a MB Quart ONX1.1500D to power it. Sorry for the crappy pictures i didn't have my camera charged at the time of the install and just had my iPhone handy. The box I'm using is temporary as I'm currently building a ported one for my liking.

Kind of picture heavy 16 of them:

This is the Sub and Amp that I installed

Here is the Sub in its temporary box

This is where we made the cut outs for more sound in the cabin, its not completely even but the grill we bought will cover it up anyways

Amp Installed

Everything in the trunk temporarily until the rest is finished

To do list:
Finish the ported box
Cover the hole in the car
make the amp look more flush with the trunk
hide all the wires
maybe add some orange lights to match the interior

I like that set up. Did you test it out before the porting? did the porting in the top make much of a difference? i just put a hole with some mesh in the rear arm rest and it booms inside now, but I think it would sound great if it had additional porting.

Any chance you could share the dimensions on the box your building? Also is this going in an e90?

I had the sub tested before cutting out the rear and mounting the amp and its a lot louder than without the cutout. I wish i had fold down seats or ski package.
I can tell the sound gets inside the cabin a lot better with the cutout, i feel with a ported box the sound will be a whole lot louder ill have to see.

yea I'm thinking about building this,

however its 2ft^3 so I'm thinking it might be too big for the amount of power I'm putting into the sub

Yeah my box got porting. Bout to put up a pic of the setup. Just cut a 5" x 10" hole and its not only so much louder but clearer. I got 2 12 memphises in a large ported box.
