Full carbon fiber exhaust

Just want find out if anyone know anything about the exhaust/pipes, if were made from a full carbon fiber composite, will it work? can it handle the high heat from the exhaust?

i'm thinking to build a full exhaust system using the full carbon fiber composite.

In its raw form, yes. In its finished form, not so much.

You don't think High Grade Carbon Fiber is expensive?

I highly doubt you could that, the only somewhat affordable option would be to use a BMI resin wich can withstand 300 ish deg C. Then again the cost would be completely prohibitive even if you made a full productyion run out of this (molds/tooling/autoclave baking/routing) just to make something a corner muffler shop could make in SS?

Not going to work. I made a whole bunch of car and bike parts from CF and FG and they are not heat resistant enough to build an exhaust from.

It's not so much the CF but the resin that will give up and crack/melt/shatter.

Exhaust tips would actually work but that's about it.

The weight savings from ultra high quality CF exhaust tips is phenomenal. Upwards of several ounces at least. That's worth a horsepower right there!

T304 stainless steel is always appropriate for an exhaust.
