For Sale, OEM Custom made LIGHTED ZHP Shift knob
Yes I now have these available to buy, I usually post on other BMW forums, But I will be posting a lot more here, From my thread on how I made mine on another forum, http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160920 I have had a lot of interest and request to make one for other people, I have listened to those requests and have made a few for sale, These can be fitted to non M cars too via 2 wire hookup, These are made from brand new ZHP knobs, custom made with my own electronics and give off a very stock OEM look, They look much better in person, They are very hard to capture with a camera but I did my best, I am selling these for $150 per knob, I also have the ability to make them in custom colors and am actually making one right now in a custom color for a board member, Custom colors will cost a little extra due to buying other leds/components, I can also convert your existing ZHP knob to lighted if you wish and the conversion cost is $100 per knob for stock color, again custom colors would be a little extra, I'm only going to be making a few of these knobs as to be honest they are a bit of a pain to make, They are VERY time consuming and not much joy to make, You have to think these have been around for years, If it were easy and profitable to make these ZHP knobs lighted I'm sure someone would have done it by now, Truth is its not easy but I just couldn't believe the amount of emails and PM's I got after I made my own,

Here's some pictures of the knob NOW AVAILABLE in white!
White LED's will add $5 extra to the price, IMO, The white looks better than the red and looks like the white instrument cluster on the Z4 M's and enables the ///M logo to be colored!

Are those white speedometer/tach on the Z4 M stock or aftermarket? If there was a easy way to convert the bmw orange backlight to the sweet gray/white I would be very interested!

All Z4M's come with white clusters
I think the New M3 does too, and as for install on a non M you would have to find a light source close to the shifter, Id guess the ashtray would have something to tap into

Even the stock M one does the exact same, I use more than one LED in mine, but no matter how many the same result I have worked on diffusing the light a little better for a more even look, These are just stock pictures not the exact ones I'm selling

Are they available without the M logo, i.e. just the 6spd pattern like in a 335? |

Correct just the shift knob,
From my understanding its only the E46 M3 that need worry about a boot, Yours should be 2 parts (knob and boot separate)

Same shape as the E46 M3 or Z4M, its very long and rubbery, Never was a fan of my stock knob These I am selling are smaller and weighted, Do a search on ZHP knobs, these have been around for years and never heard anything bad about them prices are $150 plus shipping for standard red/amber (stock color) $155 plus shipping for white led's and if you want I can make it with any custom color you would like (would cost a tad extra but not much, LED's are cheap)
