Where was the intercooler made in? Is it made in the USA?

Looks nice but....^+1, I'm curious to know the reasoning behind this

There have been a few PMs I received tonight regarding as why I chose to purchase this. Well let me walk through this and save Chris and David some time. A few have mentioned as why did you purchase an intercooler at $995.. compare to $599 or $799 or even $899...

I have been a fan of HPF.. about 4 of my real life friends are boosted with HPF stages 3, 2.5 and 2.5.

1)They have been an outstanding company treating their customers with amazing customer service, fast responds time.. I can actually pick up the phone call HPF and ask for David and he'll pick up the phone.... VS calling VF engineering and asking for Nik for 5 hours... It took me about 10 minutes @ work to place the order for the intercooler... I ordered this IC through AIM with David!

2)They don't mess around... when they say the product is coming out in a few months it will be in a few months.. the stuff is not going to pop out of nowhere... it takes time to develop this and they are very honest with their words.

3)HPF really stands behind their customers.. if most of you have not heard the drama between the stage 2 VF superchargers vs HPF then read a little more. This is what HPF did for Richard to fix his Stage 4... here's the post read it yourself
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=730534

4)The piece of mind that knowing all of this are not just randomly thrown together and they actually have a shop that I can visit and plan on visiting soon.

There have been PLENTY of happy m3 customer here in SO-Cal take a drive in 1 and you will see why...

Cheers! if you have more questions as to why I chose this.. pm me? HAHA

So I'm guessing this is probably the most expensive intercooler for the N54 to this date? Around 1K?

This looks to be the best intercooler out right now for the 335. It's getting bought after the jb3 and ar dp.

HPF, welcome to the forums. I suspect you will become a very valuable company to the community as the N54 progresses!

I am sure HPF has a great unit, but lets not claim anything without pressure loss and IAT data. I have tested 3 intercoolers and I really suggest that people don't make bold statements without hard data.

Looks alot like AMS to me, both in size/dimensions and end tank design. Don't know if these are cast or not, which would only really affect the weight. Looks nice

HPF = The cream of the crop in the BMW FI world.

Top notch developments, products, and most important of all....customer service. The stuff that these guys do for the E46 M3 crowd is simply unheard of in the auto industry.

After the VK IC fell through. I was ready to pull the trigger on this until I saw the install video. Looks to be like a decent amount of trimming that's required. I'd love to have a mixture of the VK with HPF end tanks. I just want an IC that's better than stock, requires zero trimming and utilizes stock C clips. And I know weight has it's advantages with cooling....but damn 22-23 lbs, probably the heaviest aftermarket IC out there.

VERY smart choice actually... people bolting on these huge FMIC's to run 380 RWHP are just adding dead weight and probably some lag to their cars. Even the smallest FMIC upgrades can handle these bolt-on cars putting down less than 400 or so RWHP. I bet a majority are leased and will be converted back to stock and turned in... or maybe it was a purchase but the car will never see anything beyond the typical bolt-ons and will be sold one day within the next couple of years. Keeping the stock connectors and not having to cut the bumper up will be a HUGE advantage to most people.
