My new baby is in the Maersk Tide. Voyage EX601-MKT

Anyone else aboard the Maersk Tide?

I'm taking delivery at the Performance Center in SC. I guess I'll be there ON FEB 24.

I was hoping to be on the Maersk Tide also, but must not have made it. I've been inputting my VIN# at least once an hour since it left, so if your's is showing up already, mine must not have made.

Spirit, you may be in the Maersk Tide. My VIN doesn't show yet, but I went to the dealer today and I saw it on their computer.

Chi Town, I don't have my PCD date yet, it may be the 14th as well. I want it on the 24th.

Yes. Ask your dealer. My VIN didn't show up for 3-4 days after the ship set sail.

Thanks guys! I'll keep trying my VIN#. My salesman is no longer at the dealership, so when I emailed him asking for information the sales manager responded. He said my new salesman will be contacting me in the next day or two. I need to be more patient.

Your VIN won't always show up, if you car ends up on a different carrier company, like mine. You SA can tell you exactly what ship your car is on.

I just got a call from my new Client Advisor. Mine will be on a K-Line boat named the Franconia. Apparently there is no way to track it.

Shane what is your delivery date?. Mine is Feb24. They already told me that no factory tour for us. We should ask for something extra, like a ride on a M5.

I heard somewhere they were closing the plant for like 2 months to re-tool or something - has anyone else heard this?

At least an M5 ride should be in the plan!

My 330i SGM/Terra SP is also on the Maersk Tide.

I will be taking Performance Center delivery Feb 23rd.

It was my understanding that they do not offer PCD on Fridays.

By the way, I checked the sailing schedule for the Maersk Tide. It has left the Southamton Port (UK) on it's journey to New York. Arriving and departing on 2/2/06 it will arrive in Chucktown 2/4/06.

It looks like they send all PCD cars in the Maersk Tide. They don't do PCD on weekends but they do it on Fridays, Actually I requested a Friday or Monday.

I am on the Maersk Tide as well, will be taking delivery in Chicago however, as I do not have the vacation time to go to South Carolina. Am really looking forward to getting rid of my current jalopy and driving the ultimate driving machine. :rocks:

Westmont, however, I didn't find this forum til after the purchase. After reading the comments from others about dealers in Chicagoland I now wish I purchased from Perillo since I live downtown anyway and everyone seems to say Perillo has a great service department. The comments about the Westmont dealer have been mediocre at best, but I guess I will just have to see.

If you search for Perillo, most of the comments are positive.
I haven't personally dealt with Westmont so no comment, good luck to you though.

The jet black on grey interior should look real nice.

I got the base wood trim, I did not think aluminum on gray would too good (but I don't like the black on black look or the terra, the beige was the other option but the wife did not like beige that much).
