Abandoned cars in HK carpark

I've noticed where I park there are quite a lot of cars that have just been left to rot by their owners. Just wondering if this is a normal thing here?

It's a shame to see 2 of my favorite cars (300ZX & Fiat Coupe) just gathering dust... I checked the license display and they expired over 3 years ago.

There's a mk4 Supra at mine thats sat in the same spot (in the middle of 2 as a matter of fact) for over a year now

Good point. The LS is valued at over 300K according to 28car.com!

At the parking lot where I work there are abandoned Maseratis, NSX 300ZX... But I don't think they are abandoned... just the owners have like 72 other cars

Weirdness. I've never seen this sort of thing in HK. We should post lowball offers on the windscreen's and make a business out of buying low and selling high

Is there a way of looking up the owners of vehicles by their registration marks?

as far as i know yes, but you have to pay

When I parked up tonight I checked out the license on the LS and it's a 2009 car but the license fee expired in 2010.. So the owner drove it for only 1 year and has left it at the car park for past 3 years! crazy..

That thing has depreciated over 500k just sitting there. It might be worth trying to figure out who owns it and lowball them
