Who has a KW V3 suspension?
I'm looking for feedback / suggestions from anyone with a KW V3 coil-over suspension *especially those who have 335Xi's*.
What's your preferred setup (compression, rebound damping, ride height)?

Hey C.A.!
Make sure you post a review after you install the KW V3's with your xi. From what I can see this is the suspension upgrade for the xi. I am very interested to know how well it works with the xi such as: 1. Is an alignment needed each time the ride height is changed? 2. How is it as a daily driver? 3. How much does it add to the performance of the car? 4. Are the ride hardness and height adjustments easy to do so that you can DIY (for example, can you ride stock height and soft during the hard winter months for clearance and ride low and 'sport' in the summer? )? 5. Costs. Looking at your mods, you'll likely be using the last one the most. |

Def. need an alignment with every ride height change. I already checked on that.
I think C.A. is getting things installed mid April Terry, so we'll know well in advance for our summer days. |

well, its all adjustable but i bet you knew that already purchased purely for cosmetics as i dont track.
truth be told, once you find a good height, most people will never change it...regardless of winter or summer. mine have been at the same height since i installed them. i had the rebound adjusted last spring and since then, it hasnt been touched. right now, some people may say my ride is a bit rough, but i like it like that. i believe the v2 does everything except for rebound dampening. i choose to go v3's cause steve@eet gave me a fantastic deal 2 years ago.they have held up well and have not started to 'sink'.

I'm not buying the coil-overs because I want the car to look "slammed", in fact I'll likely be riding +/- 25mm higher *in summer with 19" wheels* than the lowest setting. In fact, after researching all possible options, I've discovered there are only 2 current aftermarket suspensions available for an E90 335Xi: H&R & KW. Replacing just "the springs" and leaving the stock shocks wasn't even a consideration, as the shocks are designed around the spring rates, and putting performance springs in without matching shocks didn't make sense *for other's considering suspension mods, Bilstein & Koni have no currently available shocks for the 335Xi sedan*.
So in about 3 weeks, just after I get flashed, I'm picking up the summer wheels then having the other goodies installed. The guy in Calgary I'm using (Sheni @ Auto-Trend) has a BMW specialty shop, and I'm comfortable with him working on my car. We're going to wait a week after suspension install to see if there's any "settle" before doing a laser alignment.

Of course I meant +/- 25mm above lowest setting .... 75mm would look interesting wouldn't it

It's a wheel alignment that uses a laser for accuracy.
