n55 vs '10 Wrx Sti
Had a spirited run with a (unknown modded Subaru Wrx Sti). DCT off, got out of the hole w/o too much issue, we were neck and neck as he shifted through 4 gear... dead even. He felt fast..... we both laid off throttle after reaching 100. (No traffic, no passengers)
Has anyone else had run-ins with a Wrx Sti, and with my n55 only having a JB+, catless vishnu dp, a drop in afe filter and an axle-back... was this an accurate run? Generically speaking... I don't know what he had sooooo..... just curious. Love to hear others... thanks.

A BPU STI makes around 370AWHP, so I would safely say he was on stock turbo, maybe a FP green. With your mods making around 360+RWHP? -Travis |

getting rid of the JB+ - already talked with Mike @ BMS. I am trying the new JB N55 Stage1 with the new Map. We'll see...

The jb3 for n55 isn't nearly as strong as the one for my car (n54). I think it only boosts up to like 12 psi or something.
Wait til Terry irons out the n55 platform and they'll make some pretty good power. I heard with the new DME update you'll be able to run more boost with the n55 JB+

My biggest issue is launch control and overall "sticking" with the Michellin Pilots runflats.... (which is a good and bad problem) I wish I had this setup with the Sti...............

^^ +1 ^^ he has it backwards... The new DME update(s) will yield a positive effect on the Stage 1, but caused issues with the JB+ -hence it will not make it out of BETA testing until they address the issues.
Just skip the JB+ and go with the Stage 1. It's a much better tune and is upgradable with the USB connection and software. It's a win-win and costs less than the PROcede. BOTH are good, I chose to go with the BMS/JB3 for no particular reason other than affordability.
