Lost "GONG"

I have recently had installed a Pioneer f30BT Double Din unit absolutely brilliant.(PDC tones reinstated by suitable adaptor).
However as a consequence of this being fitted I have lost all audible warnings that used to sound via the standard radio unit. I know of the hard wired method of refitting the radio in the boot and wiring a speaker back to the dash area. Just wondering if there is a coding method of achieving the same result.
Also if this was possible would it be overwritten by any future BMW coding upgrades.
