Request: UR DP's in car sound clip similar to RISS's

For all you UR downpipe owners, how does the sound compare to the clips taken of the RISS pipes?

I was supprised to see that there is only one member who took sound clips of the UR pipes from within the vehicle. A while back when RISS posted the videos on the web, everyone was quite giddy and applauded the new-found sound. One would think UR would jump on the band waggon and fire back with something similar. But nope.

1) Can someone put together a video clip like one of these (or all of them )

2) Or if it really doesnt sound any different then stock, please chime in.

3) Is there a before and after dyno of the UR pipes on a PROcede'd car?

Thanks

Tired of waiting for RISS DPs

Why can't they just mass produce the DPs and sell it? They certainly will make money, not like they'll make it and are gonna use it as paper weights.

The UR sound close to stock to me, a bit louder but not much. You also get a little more whine. I'm too lazy to make videos, etc. Maybe Ultimate Racing can do that for you guys.

I had their DPs and exhaust on my E90 335i. They were raspy in the 1.5 - 2.5 RPM range. Really raspy. So bad I had to keep it in DS so that I would drive above the raspy noise for my poor passeners. It definitely added power though. It sounds a little bit deeper than stock, basically what Terry described. It sounds mean as hell when you are flooring it, but I wouldn't recommend it for a daily driver unless you don't care about a ~$50k car sounding like that.

I went back to the stock catback/2nd cats/resonator setup and love it. Sounds like stock with no smell or rasp.

I bet. I felt like I was going to pass out if I had to sit @ a red light while having the windows down. Glad you got 'em working for you though.

No, I sold them. Sorry man, if you had let me know beforehand I would have sold them to you. I just put my stock exhaust out for alltrash pickup and some nightcrawler grabbed it up, so that's gone as well.

Best setup is to keep Stock Exhaust with the UR catless downpipes

But damn those Riss Racing vids sound amazing!

if u've got some time, i'd say wait a bit for AGP....should be done wit the dp's within a month or so....After the dp's are done and they install the prototypes onto my car, they'll finish off with the rest of the exhaust, putting my car outta commission for ~2 weeks.....

o yea, for the exhaust, i made them vow it won't sound rice!!

Sorry, no sound clips.

I've got the HFC and coated UR downpipes. The sound is virtually the same as stock. I hear a slight turbo whine from under the hood, and no appreciable exhaust note change. My wife doesn't notice the difference at all.

I'm waiting on my Eisenmann Meisterschaft. Considering the negligible affect of the DPs, I'm strongly considering the SR pipes too.

I understand that you’re anxious to hear the sound but it all depends on the mufflers that one has.
If you put the DPs on a car with stock exhaust, it will sound a bit louder, but if you put DPs on a car with all the cats out and Eisenmann race, then it will be crazy loud.

Here are my clips of most of my vids with custom exhaust:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...78&postcount=1

The bottom 2 are with the UR catted DPs and people say that it sounds too quiet. I think it's just right!
