Feeler: Repainted Alufelgen SF-71 w/ Tires

New close up shots uploaded: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16337165

Sick of having these in my storage just taking up space...
$1200 picked up

Thinking about switching the wheels and tires for a set better suited for autocross, so just want to gauge the interest for these wheels. Not looking to ship, but willing to deliver within the greater chicago region.

Wheels were just repainted by Wheel-tech back in late Feb to a slight sliver/titanium color, since the original hyperblack paint was peeling just a little bit after 5 years of road salt and car wash abuse. All wheels are straight and true, so they are pretty much brand new in condition.

Tires are Continental DW. Nearly brand new as well, with around 1000 miles as of now. I picked these over Michelin PSS as it offer more compliant ride at the expense slightly softer turn-in. These tires are well suited for the road in midwest, provided that you have snow tires for the winter.

I did do one low speed autocross with them, but there is no visible wear difference due to the proper track alignment setup that I have on the car.

Specs:
SF-71
front 19x8.5 et35 235/35 19
rear 19x9.5 et35 265/35 19

$1200 firm for the whole package (4 tires, 4 wheels, TMPS, and all the valves). New wheels w/ tires and TPMS after balancing will set you back just over $2000, and this is without taking into account of shipping.

Again, willing to deliver within in the greater chicago. you gonna have to pick them up if you are located elsewhere.

See below for what the wheels look from the recent photos I took.

Looking good, GLWS!

Are these forged and what is the approximate weight per wheel ~25lbs?

Thanks! These are low pressure casted, weights about 22lbs front and 24lbs rear, JWL and VIA certified.

Got these during the intro group buy back in 2009.

Not sure why would you think $1600 is steep for a basically brand new wheel/tire package.

Wheels: $900+$100 for shipping
Tires: $818+$58 for shipping to chicago from tirerack, where I bought mine last month
TPMS: +$200 w/ valves and hubcaps
Balancing: $80-200 depends on where you take them

Total: $2100-2200 if you buy new. Mines will be saving you $500 at the very least. The wheels are powder coated (originals are painted), with no curb rash, bent lips, chipped paint that you would find on most 5-6 years old wheels.

Bump! Beautiful wheels guys, I would never part with it if I didn't plan to track my car more heavily.

Free bump for a decent deal...

But damn, $80-200 for mounting and balancing?? Anybody can get free lifetime mounting and balancing from discount tire for $40 as long as you buy your tires from them, plus they price match too.

You just have to ask them to knock the price down. I thought that was common knowledge. I've never had to pay more than $10/tire for the initial mount and balance, so there's a free tip for everybody. You just need to find out who their best guy is and always use the same person.

Thanks. The problem I had before is that they would put scratches on your brand new wheels. So I usually don't mind that being charged more if they known to be careful w/ mounting.

It happened to me on a set of BBS wheels at discount. They scratched one wheel it was minor but still. I made sure like 10 times to the guy and had him inspect it before hand and told the guys at the bay. They ended up writing me a check to get it refinished. It was really minor but still.

Yea, I know where you guys are coming from, I've been there too. But then again I've also had a BMW dealer damage a wheel, so it can happen anywhere.

I used to have a friend that did it, but now that I found someone else I know at DTC that does a great job, I only use him.

That being said, skip the hassle of mounting and balancing by purchasing this set of wheels and mounted tires!!

What's DTC? Would love to find someone who knows how to mount tires properly. As good as a job that Wheel tech does w/ my wheels, I really dont feel like paying $80 for mounting just two tires again...

At the moment no, unless you are planning to drive down to Chicago and pick them up yourself. FYI, these tires would fit perfectly on both e92 and e90(pre-LCI). I have seen people say 265/35 19 rubs, but there is plenty of space left on my car since Conti DWs dont have thick sidewall.

Yeah, no way I gonna deal with shipping these separately then, sorry.

I would much rather just keep those as back up for that much trouble

Sorry, I rather to keep these as a street setup myself rather than parting the tires or wheels out at this time.
