I don't think there's much they can do to improve the looks on the current E92. IMO it's one of the defining car designs of our century: modern, aggressive, and with some minor exceptions in the rear virtually flawless.

The e92 is GORGEOUS!!!

It looks like the front reflectors are gone.
Good for those that don't want to go illegal just for aesthetic purposes!

I agree that the kidney grill is flatter on the top (i think it looks even more plain now especially without the roundel to set it off) and there is a circular retrieval hook panel rather than the parallelogram which is impossible to get back on after your HPFP fails and you need a tow. Looks like they at least made it easier to tow!

back to the topic, if they are only going to be changing the bumpers (which i kinda doubt) because they can be changed really easily and everybody who has the old body by the new one, i am sure there will be few more things other than bumpers. but i do honestly like the current design though.

It looks absolutely amazing as as. So amazing that when my lease it over i am most likely going to get exact same one. And probably with exact same color combo... maybe 335 though.
So you're like me...someone called be boring when I went from a black/black/alum trim to the same combo again...first one was a sedan though...but nice to know someone out there thinks like me

This article (with the same photos) is claiming it will be a refresh for MY 2011. If correct, and I doubt it is, it would be a departure from previous coupe refreshes following the sedan by one year. Prior posts around here most seem to agree this refresh will be a MY 2010 release.

I would assume they make the frontend similiar to the new z4 with LCI.

Just be honest, it makes it look pretty wack,

I think they reason for this could be so the grills are the same between the LCI E90 and the E92. The shape an design of the grill look very similar. Could be another cost cutting measure from BMW.

The coupe is a beautiful thing, I think BMW are being sensible in giving it a nip and tuck rather than the more major surgery the E90 had.

Also we are getting closer to 2011 which is when I would expect the next 3 series, so they don't want to play too many of their future design cards right now I would suspect.

LCI E90's kidneys arent even that flat though. this is like straight edge flat.

I was at a BMW driving event on the weekend and one of the presenters said that the E92 refresh is 16 months away. So that would make it the 2011 model.

That is a bit strange..why would they refresh so late..like most have been saying, including the owner of my dealership, they are expecting the refresh MY 2010.
