i just installed everything and not even a flicker. Just a fog error. I haven't used the capacitors yet, so I'm going to have to uninstall it, but the thing is they should atleast flicker or show some sign of life. Any ideas?

07/07 e92 build, non slim ddm kit.

Hey guys,

Just wanna chime in to share my findings. I bought the same kit 200Duece did and found something interesting. My 09 E91 (LCI, xenon) has 10000uF 25V on the left and 4700uF 35V on the right (blew the 10000uF by not paying attention to polarity and Shack only had 4700uF). Here is the thing: when i turn on the aux and then the fogs, I got a code on the 4700 side. But when I turn on the headlight and then the fogs, both were fine and no code thrown. And then I turn off the headlight and turn the fogs back on, they were fine again.

Can't really conclude anything but I thought this may help others troubleshooting. I'll swap out the 4700 later and see if the 10000 takes care of business. Anyone knows where to get the 10000 near San Jose/Santa Clara, CA? I tried Shack and Frys with no luck. Or I'll do the ebay route and wait for shipping.

Also has anyone tried 16V instead of 25/35V? I am afraid the extra voltage may not be good for the circuitry long term. Anyone with EE background or expert in circuit design?

The 25V/35V is needed. You always use 1.6x whatever the voltage coming out is. Also, in your situation, you should swap out the 4700 soon, it's not a good idea to leave them mismatched and the fact that it showed an error means that dependability is probably slimmer.

just did 10,000uF 35V and they work. were a little weird at first but looking good now no probs. i electrically covered the cap leads and had the cap pointing out with a zip tie so it doesn't touch anything else.

Sometimes it'll show left and right fog lamp malfuction and the left will only turn off, but the right will stay on. I just ordered 10000 uF 35v from deep surplus for $7.50 hope these work.

Has anyone tried this with a 55w HID Ballast kit?

Would this mean using a different capacitor?

Small question : for the ppl that have 300K HID , does your bulb looks like mine ( when the bulb is off , it looks like it's yellow with some rainbow colours) ... the problem is when when my HID fogs are on , from far it looks really yellow but from a close look ,,, it looks like sh!t ... maybe the pic below shows what i mean ..

[/QUOTE]

if yours are not like mine ,, then were did u get yours from , i only need the bulbs ..thank you
