I got ticketed for tints in VA..please advice.

To make a long story short, tinted my car's windows last year because it used to get really hot.
Today I was driving in the highway and as I was about to take my exit cop car pulls me over two cops step out). Seemed like one was watching the other/possibly training him.
What can I do about this guys? please help?

Not another "I got a tint ticket" thread. At least you are not complaining about it. Your thread is really vague and what does a white cop with a black rookie have to do with tint tickets? Either pay the ticket if they gave it to you, or if its a fix it ticket, put a lighter tint on.

Either they are darker than your states legal limit or they are not. Did they test it? I am not sure why you made a thread. Sometimes the judge will waive the fine if you remove the illegal tint before your court date or pay the fine and keep your current tint. Only options.

theres nothing you can do, if the tint is illegal its illegal. Pretty rare to get ticketed for that, but at this point you either pay it or remove the tint. And +1 on not getting what ethnicity has to do with fix it tickets?

What a useless thread with the race remark. You got a ticket for doing something you aren't allowed to do.. what is the question?

Why get illegal tints if you are going to complain/ask questions when you get a ticket? pay the fine and call it a day

Don't run tint darker than is legally allowed. Then you won't get pulled over and/or cited for it. Does that help?

Maybe don't get tint darker than the law allows in your state?

If you tint darker than legal, you're giving all police officers a free "pull me over" card.

I suppose you got a ticket in Fairfax or Alexandria County. Generally if it exceeds the states tint limit, you should/have to remove it and show proof when you go to court and it will get dismissed. If you decide to keep it, youll obviously have to pay the fine. The only exclusion is if you need the tint due to a medical condition but then youll need a doctors note.

Thank you mister Sibhusky, this is more along the line of what I was looking for.
What's considered "proof"?
What type of doctor could get this done for me?

A shady doctor... No pun intended.

A receipt / pictures of the removal would constitute as proof of removal.

Simple solution: take it back to whoever applied the illegal tint and demand that they replace it with legal tint. They can be shut down if the law determines they're deliberately putting illegal tint on vehicles. Of course, if you signed a release stating that you know the tint is illegal but are allowing them to do it anyway, then you're screwed and you'll have to pay the ticket AND get your windows tinted wtihin your state law's limits.

Maybe roll your windows down all the way when stopped and refuse to roll them up to be measured when asked next time. You may be arrested as a result.
