Should be labeled but its in the picture of the fuse board
in entry 32 (06 fuse diagram pdf.)
The missing fuse might be part of the bystable relay failure.

Nav.

I sell 100% pnp cic kits for $700 shipped. I have new FSC codes flashed to every unit so they don't need an emulator.

If you want to DIY a kit you would need a CIC, screen, cic trim, display cable, usb cable, usb port, display power connector, coding and most likely an emulator to activate the donor FSC to your car. You can reuse the factory CCC knob with the CIC which is what my kits do.

I linked the BMW Fanatic video earlier which he installed one of my early kits.

If it was me I would take those final measurements I asked
you to take. 12 volts at the radio connector and checking
the fuse on the back of the unit. If those check out about the
only thing you can do is try another unit.
The fact that the radio lit up kind of says it must be getting
power with fuse 23 in but I don't know why because the
description of that fuse is for modules that are normally
in the Trunk.
Although you might try to run diags with all the fuses in place
and the radio/nav disconnected. I would also want to know if the
30g relay is any good. Relay could be bad of there may be burnt
traces on the cabin fuse board or other component damage there.

It would also be advisable to get K/D can cable and set up
the INpa suite and Ista D they are much more powerful
diagnositcs than Carly.
You will need the Inpa suite to program a new CCC unit or
whatever you deciede to put in to your car if its
OEM.
It would be a good idea to establish if you have Hi Fi or
Logic 7 sound system and amplifier to.

If you buy Nikco43's kit see if he can pre program it for your
cars options.

Seems like the person who sold you that car was withholding
info if you didn't know about the missing fuses.

My kits are all 100% pre-programmed and I include a coding cable. He wanted to mail me his CCC so I can test it to see if it works on my bench.

Good idea if you want to do it.
He said he found +12 on pin 15 of the radio connector
so it should power up.
Since he has an 06 there should be no ICOM issues.
I keep hearing that cars with dcan need icom for most
module progamming . somehthing do with the speed of
dcan but the exact reasons seem nebulous.

I apparently the car won't go to sleep after 20 minutes. I had him lock himself in and the ccc dvd drive was still running.

My car has D can and I can code everything except the Amp. I got my oem icom today so I can now code everything.

What do you mean by running?
Do you mean it won't go to sleep or that it works?
And how would you tell if it was running with no lights
or screen?(DVD noise?)
(Should go to sleep after a minute or two with the doors
locked I get it.)

power to the radio connector and doesn't work looks like a new unit
or repairing an verifiing the old one is the next step.

The lights on the cd player were lit up when i put fuse the previous owner had taken out. I think we have decided my radio ccc is junk but why wont the lights go out after 20+ minutes. It makes noise like the fan is on or something but wont allow car to sleep

All kinds of things can stop the car from sleeping.
If the cars senses doors are open trunk is open having
Comfort Access (No key required for operation ,and the key
fob in the vicinity of the car ) ,leaving the radio on paired
cell phone in the vicnity of the car. Leaving a comfort access
key to close to the car.

Locking the car is suppose to make it go to sleep faster.

Descriptions of how this works is in first electrical pdf
supplied earlier in the this thread. See entry 8 first pdf

Just got done reading it all i can think of is the 30g relay that has been in question. I took that apart and applied 9v to it and watched it open and close so that should be a good relay. It being bistable not sure if that changes anything though.

All that means it it has two positions that routes
things either one way or the other. at least that is
my understanding of of it.
