Remove V1 hardwire for service appointment?
I have a hardwired radar detector in my car. I have to take the car in for service this week. Is there any reason that I would need to remove the wiring for the service appointment? I can't imagine that it would impact my BMW warranty, but I thought it safest to ask the question in advance. Anyone with experience one way or the other?

I service my car all the time and they never said anything negative my V1, the parts department guys normally come out and like to see all the mods I have done without questioning it anything via warranty wise. If you end up having an electrical issue with your sunroof, they may say its related issue since thats the wire tapped. As far as a service appointment, you are 100% safe.

I've always gone in with my radar hardwired (have had both V1 and 9500ix) and never had an issue. Even when I had electrical issues with my side mirror and the door locks.
