New Bimmer-tech Amp Review

Recently, I saw a review and and install walkthrough on youtube for this product. My OEM amp was ruined by water damage so it was either buy some after market upgrade and mess with the wiring harness, or use this direct plug-and-play with bimmer-tech.

It took me all of 15 minutes to pull out the OEM (which I must say was very light weight -- a good AMP is heavy -- and pretty weak in its ability to deliver clear bass rich sound and clear high notes). As soon as I installed the replacement AMP I was worried about blowing the stock speakers, but nothing like that happened. This AMP sounds great.

I may try the upgrade speakers too but right now the stock ones sound fine.

Looks like there using the Helix 86dsp now.

Yeah a good amp makes the stock speaker sound better
but aftermarket speakers of the right type take it to another
order of magnitude better.

Hope you fixed the leak.
I think a normal part of maintenance on your car would be
to check the drains and seals once or twice a year.
(and on both side wells in the trunk)
