Rear Deck Spoiler Color Choice

I have a monaco blue pre-lci e90, and I would like to get either the performance or m3 rear deck spoiler. Any opinions which one I should get? The vehicle is still pretty much stock on the exterior.

Also, should I get it painted black or monaco blue?

Any pics of black on monaco would be great!

I would get it painted Monaco blue...I think if you had a light colored car the black would look better, but on a dark colored car, it would look better painted body color. Just my personal opinion. I am debating the same thing...and I have decided to paint mine, when I order it body color (Montego Blue). Good luck deciding...either will look good though!

Did you get the perf or m3 spoiler? My dilema is that I don't want the spoiler to be huge in proportion to the car. I still have the stock wheels on, but I did add spacers and wider tires so it has a much more aggressive stance than bone stock. I'm just not sure if its aggressive enough to justify the perf spoiler.

just get body colored, especially with monaco blue. If you get black, itll look like it was painted the wrong color

I actually have a CF performance spoiler on my monaco blue e92. I might be bias in that I love the CF pattern and reflection, especially the 2x2 weave. The CF pattern adds a small subtle difference that can also really stand out if you pay attention to it. I can take a picture of my car if you like when i get home tonight.

If you get the m3 spoiler, I would get it painted to match your car. As others have said, if you get it in black, it'll look sloppy.

Personally, I think the perf spoiler only looks good on e92's because of the lines and shorter rear end. So I say go with m3 spoiler. my $0.02

I haven't ordered a spoiler yet. I am still deciding which one to get. I am adding Forgestar F14's 19x9 and 19x10s in Gunmetal. They will be here Thursday. I am also adding paddle shifters to my car...the SW will be here next week. Then the spoiler comes. I have just started looking at spoilers. I was at my dealer yesterday and looked at an M3 with a spoiler and I love it...so that is probably what I am going to do.

I would love to see the CF spoiler on your car...that is what I originally wanted, but all my friends have said go painted instead of CF since I don't have any other exterior CF pieces (yet).

I would definitely like to see the spoiler.

Sounds great! Post pics when you get them on if you can.

It sounds like the M3 spoiler is the way to go. I think I am going to try that.

Who are you guys ordering the spoiler from or have ordered? There seems to be a ton of places...not sure who is reputable and who isn't...

I was considering this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAINTED-BMW-...4c0845&vxp=mtr

For $60 I think it's worth a try.

I also heard there are $87 painted splitters on ebay and people have had good success with them, but I can't find them. Can anyone point me to the right seller on ebay that has those?

With CF on the front it might be neat to do CF on the rear to compliment the front.

I was thinking of doing CF on both as well...I found this one, but doesn't include the 3M double sided tape...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/360646958965...84.m1423.l2649

I put the others in my ebay saved lists...will look closer when I have a chance. I think the CF would look good...especially if the splitter is CF also.

I still like the performance spoiler.... I'm not convinced the m3 spoiler is the way to go yet.

I think I am going to go with the M3 spoiler...I like that it is barely there...just a nice little accent piece...a buddy of mine has the performance spoiler and it looks great, but for me, I think the M3 is the way to go.

How do you guys think a lip, similar to a Hamman, would look on a stock front bumper?
