Guys I got this done yesterday at GT Peace and am very happy with the service. My car runs great now! This is the first carbon cleaning I've done on this car in 8 years and 77,500 miles!

The guys there are cool, professional, and they did a great job with the carbon cleaning. Thanks to black82c and xzibit a for getting this together.

Great community we got here!

Just want everyone to know that I have the luxury of having it done to my 335i at my job for $100 by one of my techs.

I work at a BMW dealer.

Carry on now.

Do you feel any difference? Do you have any idea on how dirty it actually was?

Sitting here at GT Peace and they are wrapping up the car. Below and after photos are below.

Galen was awesome in explaining everything, and provided status updates while I hung out in their comfortable waiting room. I would highly recommend these guys.

BEFORE: as you can tell, it was pretty bad. Galen had said my car was one of the more worse ones that entered in the shop in the past 2 weeks.

Great pics!!

I spoke with him today and I'm hoping to have it scheduled this week. Did you get the $540 package?

Let me know how the car feels after!

Thank Galen for the pics! He was kind enough to pop in and snap some shots during the service.

GTPeace honored the E90 deal that you mentioned. The shop noticed some other small components that required changing - so really appreciate them on going above and beyond.

As you can tell from the pictures, my valves were in pretty bad shape, so there was a noticeable difference after the cleaning was done - much better throttle response and the engine feels a bit more free revving. Hope this helps in making your decision.

I didn't ask for pictures or take them myself. All I have to go by is the shop's 'word' and my driving experience before and after the walnut blast, which honestly, is okay by me.

GT Peace is actually the second shop within a very short period of time that told me I did not have much carbon build up. And honestly, by the driving experience after the walnut blast, I feel that is true. I'm not sure why I didn't have much carbon build up for the age and mileage on my car (maybe because I got WOT frequently? lol)

To further confirm that statement, although the car does run smoother and pulls harder (especially in the upper RPM bands), I didn't notice anything close to a "night and day" difference. There was quite a bit of hesitation in the upper RPM bands before the walnut blast, but that's about all it solved. I was not having misfires, rough idle, or any of that. So maybe that's why I didn't notice a huge difference.

That said, it was still 100% worth every penny and to get to know a good local Indy.

Had my 335 walnut blasted at Fleming last year at around 92k miles and noticed a major difference after the cleaning...definitely a lot smoother

Finally got a break in my work schedule. I'll be getting mine done on the 15th. I'll try and get some before and after pics up once it's done.

Walnut Blasting done yesterday by GT Peace

WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!

This car feels totally different. I think my car had some of the worst valves I've seen on any forum. It only has about 65k on it, and I never imagined it could be this bad. Wow I can't stress enough how much better the car feels. If your car is over 50k miles, and you haven't gotten your car walnut blasted, you're missing out. I cannot stress this enough!! Call GT Peace right now, and get your car over there ASAP!!

My car feels brand new!!!!!

WOW!!! Those valves were bad. I have yet to hear anything bad out of everyone that has went so far. I've even had couple guys tel me that they found some leaks and other things, and told them "the customer" about it. Not many shops will take the time to do something like that. Especially on something like a group buy. Kudos to the guys at GT Peace, and thank you again Scott for helping to set this up.

Give GTPeace a call. I'm sure they can probably work something out. Great shop.

so I finally got my walnut blasting done at 80k and wow what a huge difference, but that being said... did anybody else see a significant drop in their MPG? I used to get 18 mpg but after the walnut blast my mpg keeps dropping... and is now sitting at 15.8... this can't be normal right?
