iPod plugged in armrest
Just got my 2011 328i E90 (Professional Stereo) and I leave my iPod plugged in to the usb port in the armrest. I'm currently using Apple's white cable to hook it up but when I start my car and I press "Current" to jump to the current song, it shows a random song. Say i was on song #20 on a playlist, it show the 20th song in my iPod alphabetically. Would it work better with a y split cable?
Also, my iPod is always plugged in and I don't unplug it. Will this eventually drain the battery of the car or does it eventually cut off power to the iPod?

My iPod didn't interface properly when I just used the Apple cable. I got a Y cable and all's well. I don't think that it would drain your battery unless you let your car sit with the iPod plugged for a long time, maybe a week or more.

My 09 328i needs the Y-adapter for my iPod to function properly, but I read in a similar thread the other day someone said there was a change in the middle of the 2010 production run making the adapter unnecessary.

It may seem like it's not a big deal but it gets really irritating because i have 80+ playlist and 5000+ songs. Any other ideas?
