reliable HPI check site
Can anyone recommend a 100% reliable HPI check site?
I have been using icarcheck.net which I am happy with. However, I have just checked a car that someone i know has bought and it has come up as a cat C. They swear blind that it isn't and say it isn't registered on the V5C. To be honest the car is seriously iffy so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a cut and shut

I always use RAC Car Data Check, without problems. From memory, you can purchase 3 checks for £25 and have a while to redeem them all
Believe they all use the same source data i.e. National Milege Register, Insurance Database, but may be wrong on this |

For the past few years I have used Experian Autocheck when checking cars and bikes.
I have used the cheaper ones before and because my private pate was on a previously written off car my R32 which it was on at the time was showing as a category C despite the crash happening before that car was even built. |
