Meh, it's not that bad. The OP has a running car, that's a win. It's better than a 3+ year long fail thread.

Car is still at the garage, going to be reactivated in February probably. VAC stage 2 head seems to run very well.

Can still take a while. I don't even know if the car drives again. OP has loads of work to do and unfortunately very little time for car stuff right now.

The car does drive again. And very well so.

But it now needs a break-in of at least 3000 miles, and the OP does not right now have the time to drive that much with it.

3k mile break-in?!? Who came up with that? Seat the rings and have at it. This whole break-in procedure seems so foreign to some people. The only thing touching is the rings to the cylinder wall. Everythign else is riding on a film of oil so it doesn't touch and therefore can't break-in. The machining of the engines is SO much better than it used to be that there is very little break-in needed any more.

There won't be any final numbers coming up soon. And if it's your own engine and you've invested so much time and money into it, you would also want to do everything properly as far as break-in etc. is concerned.

I have a F30 335 N55 that I need ripped apart, anyone know any shops on the east coast that can rebuild my motor? It's locked, believe bearings need to be replaces.
