Awesome run and that speedo is flying when it comes back into sight from disappearing behind the steering wheel.

Also, you dash looks like a light show.

Passenger seat out so airbag light on
Race wheels/tires in the back so tire pressure light on
Turn signals come on when meth flow reaches meth flow target
Traction control disabled so DTC off light on.

Pretty standard for most any race prepped 335i.

Steve's car is quick. Catching up quickly to the our single turbo 6MT customer cars. But without ever needing to take both hands off the steering wheel. Just put the foot down and let the trans do the rest. Kinda funny.

Have you done any vbox testing? If so, we can compare data and plot distance vs time.
I did some back in the day when i was still figuring a lot of crap out. Since Terry did low 7s in his race trim, i'd guess i'd be in mid 7s. Easier to just compare this at shift sector tho

Under 5 seconds would take a ton of horsepower. The guy with the fast 1000HP GTR does it in 4.5 seconds. He also runs a 9 second qtr mile at 149mph. He handily beat the 1000hp CLK here at No Fly Zone. Not to mention there were other 1000-1200HP cars there that still couldn't beat the GTR. Most impressive was how quiet and civilized the GTR was. (His daily driver).

Under 5s is indeed crazy. But I said 5.x which really doesn't take much more power than what we are making now (with 6MTs) if the conditions are right. I did 6.47 back when my car was only making 640whp or so. Since then, it's made another 60whp so 5.x is certainly possible. We will see soon

Boris did a mid 3 in his e30 a few years ago I believe.

sorry posting from my phone sucks.

blurb from 2011..... he has since knocked nearly a half second off his 1/4 mile times since then.

Boris, also known as djborya on the forums, has raised the bar again. He previously set overall the 60-130 in October 2010 being the first BMW to dip into the 4's for 60-130 runs. This record was later broken by Mert with a 4.49 60-130 earlier this year. We are happy to say that the bar has been raised once again and Boris has taken the record back with a 60-130 run of 4.2 seconds which was done during a 1/4 mile pass. Specs on the car are an E30 with an M3 widebody, built S52, and a gigantic 80 mm turbo among other things. Congratulations Boris!

That's impressive. Are you saying 700whp is possible on the stock motor without any issues??

Pretty sure there is at least one Vishnu ST setup running 700+whp already on a stock motor. Maybe more. Raising the rev limiters on the 6MT has allowed them to really kick the HP numbers up.

Incredible that this engine can do these things fully stock. How high did they go in the RPMs so far?

What does that car trap in the qtr mile? 150-160mph? What kind of horsepower?

We never got a chance to put it on a dynojet. We only tuned it on the in-house Mustang dyno and it did 622whp. The dyno graph is on our Facebook page. This is about 60whp more than the standard 62mm customer cars that put down 650whp on Dynojets. The extra power came primarily from running on straight e85+meth. 27psi of boost with a pretty aggressive timing curve. Definitely not for the risk averse.
