All reports are that these maps are very very well done. These were all done by Ken from Wedge Performance. I am now currently running a custom Trebila Performance E85 flash as of an hour ago that levels the AFRs to a dead consistent 12.5. Too much rain and traffic, not dynoed ye, so can't report on real gains yet.

Yes, according to MHD you need the internet connected to your android device as google app does a licence check on your software as an antipiracy measure. That sounds like a massive pita. Can anyone confirm if this was just part of the beta or in fact if this is still the case??

I can't even get it to connect, even with a charger connected. Could be related to my cheap inpa cable. Although Inpa connects fine aswell as bmwhat. Grrrr. Want to upload the backend flash before easterncreek.

Do you have the BMWhat cable or using the BMWhat app with your INPA cable and the app works? If this is the case, the cable is fine.

For all those having difficulty, your JB4 MUST be on map 0 for it to connect. Then, on your android device, close EVERY other app via the task manager as some apps will be trying to connect via the USB and will not allow you to connect the MHD flasher app. The two obvious ones will be the JB4 app and the BMWhat app. Do NOT have these open at the same time, even if in the background.

Also, have the phone in flight mode if it is in your phone. A phone call can possibly dirupt your flashing.

Socks, what do you want to do with the MHD Flasher? IF you just want to do a backend flash for JB4 or perform a custom flash, you only need to connect up once. Only if and when you want to start running E85 then flash between that and a pump map that or you want to purchase the Monitor function then you'll need to connect the app. I am not sure if it is 24 hours though. I read that it is "sporadic" but definitely not daily.

Ive been running MHD flashed files for around 2 months now, never had this check. I only connected it again last weekend to load a Wedge flash and MHD worked flawlessly again. I drive my car everyday, no issues.

I'd say it checks only when you do a new flash to make sure you've paid for the flasher module, which seems fair enough.

I been running it for 2 days now and I haven't had to connect to the Internet. I been driving with no issues as well.. What needs to connect? The phone to the car via the d+k can cable, or the app on the device alone to the Internet?

Righto kents, just flashed my 08 today. Easy as, MHD app is so easy to use. I bought one of the cheap 20 odd buck DCAN cables from china and it worked right away. Made sure my phone was in areoplane mode, all apps closed ect ect follow the instructions in the linked thread to the letter and it worked fine.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1132775

Car pulls harder, not as hard as it did when i had procede, although i had shitty tires then so had alot less traction than my wide non RFT's that i have now. Iv only been for a very quick scoot around the block so ill get more of an idea when i drive next. Last time i was tuned i had a horrible and violent jerk at redline when going WOT. I was a bit scared to give it WOT today because of the past but was very relieved when it pulled smoothly all the way with no issues. Only thing i have noticed is that the car now feels more powerful than the suspension is upto lol, feels like it needs an upgrade soon to match the new power.

Get on this guys, seems to easy and so cheap.
