Gloss black + Chrome Kidney Grilles? Or Gloss Black Only?

Hey guys,

With my car's recent facelift, I thought I was done. Today, while looking at her, I felt like something was still missing. So, I decided to switch things up a little... by adding some.....chrome.

I pulled out the gloss black grilles and replaced the outer trim with chrome.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sold on this look... (looks really nice when you're holding it though, just not on the car) and I'm thinking of going back to gloss black lol...

There's something about it I love and hate at the same time. Feel like something is missing...

Might just be spending too much time with my car...

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I kinda like both. If it were me, I would run the chrome/black because its different than everyone else.

I like both too. You could leave it like that but take the idea all the way to the rear bumper. Like Two Face from Batman

I felt the same when I installed all black on the front of my E90. I decided to just change the top halfs of my grilles and keep the bottom half chrome. I prefer it that way. The 3 series is a pretty small car, and the all black makes it look smaller in my opinion.

I prefer the gloss black inner slats + chrome outer just because it's different and a subtle mod.

Otherwise, CF grills to match the rest of your car parts. The gloss black IMO doesn't stand out enough for your car since it's already black!

I normally don't throw my two cents in on discussions like this, but the chrome ones remind me of those dudes that put the chrome piping all over their doors and gas tank covers. Plus you don't seem to have any other chrome on the car, so to me it just looks out of place. I vote gloss black.
