anything new, also i was wondering what damage to your warranty would you do with this mod, would they see it and viod your warranty or would it be more like if something were to happen because of it only that wouldnt be covered?

As you can see I dont frequent the boards too often. Which is why I suggested someone PM him. If there is someone who is willing to do this, then call the shop, speak with someone who will get down the info, look deeper into it and call you back. I think that seems fair enough? Also, we are in different locations just to clarify.

I can not believe how Creative can not capitalize on this business opportunity. I'm a business person and would have cashed out on this 'months a go'. Maybe they are too busy selling rims and spoilers.

What comes to cars, I have recently concentrated to put my Vette pass the 500hp mark... and prepared it to Corvette track event @ TMS on mid May. However I'm subscribed to this thread and will continue to see what happens.

I hope one day somebody in aftermarket car business can capitalize on the 325i to 330i conversion.

Good luck fellows!

You guys want us to purchase the manifolds in hopes that you guys will purchase it? I don't know what else we can do with just talks of members wanting to do the upgrade. How many are willing to dish out for this? If there is a large enough customer base we would be delighted to do this for you guys! From the limited reading I have done on this thread I see maybe 2-4 people who would truly like to do this and pay for it. Am I wrong? If I am please feel free to correct me and I will take over this project personally.

Thanks!

i cant see how you see 2-4 people who are willing to do this, i see a 20 page thread of people waiting to see this happen, while many arent willing to commit without some proof i think if you found someone with a 325i mt and did this, had it dynod at an independent dyno and posted real results you could start taking deposits that day

I do understand what you are saying completely. I said only a few would TRULY be interested, but thats besides the point. Someone local PM me who is interested. 325i preferably a manual, but an automatic will work as well, just with lower #'s of course. We will do a before and after dyno. So if you know anyone, or anyone reads this PM me and I will take it from there.

There are plenty of 325i owners who've dropped a lot of money on upgrades that only gave them 10hp max (exhaust, intake, etc), so I think it's safe to say they're willing on spending 1500 for +50 real horsepower...
If you have some documented cases where you could show concrete evidence that this 325i to 330i transplant works, then I think you'd have a ton of people lining up. So far, we have nothing because of Finn's AWD Steptronic car.

I am willing to do it, if this means the package includes a new manifold and tuning software, another word from 325-> 330.

Already PM'ed me. I'll tell you all what I told him. I will do my research by calling the dealer and seeing what pricing I can get on the intake manifold and on the 330 software as well. I will have to speak with James (who is out of the office until Friday) regarding his location since he is basically across the country from us and a local would be much easier. However, this is a good step forward. Once I get more info on the process we can start with a baseline dyno, and on the same dyno we can repeat it after the mod.
Sound good?

Glad I stumbled in here. I've been looking for this since I heard it might be possible a few weeks ago. Count me as another potential customer if you get this thing worked out.

Do it and we'll document it from start to finish during the install. Man this would be fun!

It will be just like the previous one. New 3 stage intake manifold and software. Obviously baseline dyno and aftermath as well...

Question..so if the result is as expected (close or exceed 330 output) would the manifold be something you can source without problem as part of the package? Will this manifold be an OEM part or aftermarket? I thought in order to get a 330i manifold a VIN# is required? Perhaps you have other source? I am in socal, would defintely be interested in this and perhaps could lend some help in being the lab rat for this
