335d Glowplugs .. how to change ?

The time has come to change the glowplugs , cyl 3 & 5 are u/s according to the DTC's

-3 this morning and it struggled somewhat to get going , had a bit of a misfire going on for a few seconds.

Has anyone changed them ? and if so ... on a Haynes stylee 1 to 5 spanner rating how big a job is it ?

I think the inlet manifold has to come off in order to change them, one of them is a pain to get to iirc. Becarefull of undoing them they are probably held on tight and could risk snapping it

Is your car sorted now mate?

i'm convinced it was the alpinemss hid angel eye kit and the high frequency electrical noise that POS cheap chinese kit was emitting which was corrupting comms to my early version mechatronic gearbox .. making the poor box do unspeakable things.

Even though I have been through the expense of getting a replacement box , i do not believe there is anything wrong with my old one. If I could find someone who could put it on a rig and test it .. i would because second hand there are precisely none of these gearboxes available in the UK .. i know .. I looked for 2 months!!
