No Carlos you will merely copy the original.

Of course not

Download and use this programme to rip the DVD:

http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/

It will remove any copy protection and make it 'region free'

DVDShrink and DVDdecryptor for anything DVDShrink won't "touch". I also have pocketDVDencoder for reducing files sizes even more to get more onto the Archos.

Problem with dvddecrypter is it doesn't reduce the size of 8gb dvds down to 4.7 if you only have a normal dvd burner. DVDshrink does it automatically.

Just for Carl!

Carlwah, you need to subscribe to 'DVD Tomorrwah'- a quality publication.

You have far too much time on your hands, Viv.

I don't think you can rip DVDs with media player

www.dvdshrink.org although you won't find a download on there because of "legal reasons" but you should check there for current version number (3.2.0.15) then google it.

That, coupled with a Vivid imagination, makes for a potent combination.

The most time consuming part involves finding & masking the pictures- the rest is just spontaneous creativity, coupled with a Mac & some nice DTP software.

I don't think I have used my DVD player in over a year. With the abundance of HD downloads now available, it would be hard to go back to Standard Def.
