+1 I'm 100% with you here - not before time. Some of the Chav mods you see take no account of the safety of other road users.

The main reason for headlight washers other than actually washing them is for driving in cold conditions....mainly falling snow. Where a standard halogen unit will generate enough residual head on the face of the headlight to melt any snow off, a xenon unit runs much cooler and doesn't become as warm therefore in cases of freezing rain/snow the headlight will become obscure, reduce visibility and dazzle oncoming drivers. It is then necessary to wash the headlight with screenwash containing anti-freeze to "clear" the lens.

That's nice of you to say so, but there's a lot of things he 'could do'. Some of the things you're suggesting are not only illegal, but could also make driving for Lee more dangerous, as a result of reducing the effectiveness of a 'proper' HID setup & also as a result of dazzling oncoming drivers. There's nothing really 'nice' about that, is there?

Perhaps you might think about that the next time you post, ok, Business Edition?

All the best.

Do you not find that everyone else on the road flashes you while your driving around with your Halfords lighthouse kit and fogs turned on?

Do you really climb into your car each morning and think it's a good idea to turn the fog lights on before pulling away?

Not bothered about the so-called "show" lights - I can't see the point, but whatever floats your boat - but people who drive around with front fogs and sidelights in lieu of dipped headlights should be dragged out of their cars and clubbed to death.

If your talking to me about the foglights and the dim lights on. I just took a picture of it as I put dim bulbs in. And sometimes I do have my foglights on an no one has flashed at me as they are not the bright.

I have seen loads of BMW, audi, Vw all sort of cars with there fog on. I think it looks cool on some cars when they are on. But every one has there own teast.

In my experience, properly aimed fog lights are much less blinding to oncoming traffic than a set of normal dipped beams however, I don't think cars driving around on either sides / fogs or dipped beams / fogs look cool and unless visibility is very low it is against the law so risky too!

Its also against the law and I think people that use them because they look cool are knobs - just my opinion though

That is your opinion. Yes I know it's against the law but so is speeding to and I know for a fact that everyone that keeps moaning about other people not following the law and am sure they are not to, so should really stop moaning.

And calling me a knob is nice of you, you sad act

Plus you are going off topic

Properly aimed fogs???

You can't aim fogs, they are super wide angle reflectors, that's the whole point and the reason why they dazzle from even way off centre.

Keep em off.

What do the blue lights in the grill do? Looks like an unmarked police car?

Maybe his life ambition was to become a police officer but they wouldn't accept him so on weekends he just wears the uniform and pulls people over in his spare time.

Boys, please be civil, ok.

Irrespective of how ridiculous you may or may not think of improperly set-up HIDs & the use of potentially police-impersonating flashing blue LEDs hidden behind a car's front grille, you don't need to start abusing each other about it.
