Crave for idrive
Hello everybody. I have been driving my E90 since Oct. 2005. Too much early to realize the wide versatility of idrive (Navi Professional) in particular for what is related to Connected Drive. At that time I used to consider it only a cheap navigation system. Nothing more. I ended by ordering a non-idrive E90. It is euphemistic to say that I regret now. I ain't going to get another car by exchanging the one I have. That would cost me 19,5K. But I am ready to equip my car with an after sale bmw idrive system if that is possible. Actually I have my doubts, since I didn't even choose the Navi Business when I bought it. My E90 has the Bmw Professional radio. What can you guys say about that?

if that was possible, it would be VERY expensive to retrofit iDrive.
iDrive equipped cars have: - a different dashboard with iDrive display - a different centre console with iDrive control - the navigation computer with CD and DVD drive - GPS receiver in the shark fin on the roof and probably lots of other changes. |

Enjoy your E90 and forget iDrive. In 4 or 5 years, don't make the same mistake. Get another car with whatever the current version of iDrive is at that time. The iDrive technology in our E90s will seem dated by then, anyway.
