Yeah it is badass but unfortunately it has no power at all and no plans to for the next couple years. If only

Absolutely in love with the car and can't wait to take her around during the summer. Your story made me feel like i just went thru the whole EU delivery process too.
Hey Seatown - nice car! I've heard reports of another E91 in LeMans Blue running around in the South Seattle/Boeing Field/I-5 area - could this be you? The car looks great with the 18s. Where did you find the car? Did you get an auto or manual? As you know, they're pretty hard to come by in the used market in either configuration, especially in something other than white or silver....

I ended up buying a set of BBS GT RS 18s, and they really pop on the car. I'm running the Michelin all-seasons on the stock 17s now, as I travel down to Bend a few times a year (including today... ) and need the winter traction.

Are you coming to the Puget Sound CCA lunch at XXX in Issaquah next Friday, Dec 28th? I'll be there with my E91. It would be fun to see them parked side by side. More here:

that may have been me...

I took delivery of a 2010 Le Mans E91 in March of that year. I used to work at Boeing in Seattle, and did a lot of testing down at Boeing Field. I now live in the Bay Area, and have seen a couple other Le Mans E91s here as well. I have loved my car, but have not needed the x-drive as much as I did back in Seattle

Mine is stick, I have since added black kidneys, carbon interior to the saddle brown, along with performance exhaust and air. Would love to get back to Seattle some day, maybe join you guys for a shoot

Merry Christmas!

Hey SavageBeagle - definitely give a shout if you make it up here. We can do a LeMans Blue photo shoot...

My drive from Seattle to Bend today gave me my first real chance to try the car in the snow. The combo of Xdrive and good tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S) are amazing. Totally no-drama. I'm sure snow tires would be even better, but it's overkill for Seattle.

Question - how do you like the performance exhaust? Not too loud? Any highway drone? A PE is on my mod short list - I think the stock muffler is much too quiet...

I absolutely love the performance exhaust. I was worried that it would either be too much, thus making me hesitant to step on it in fear of people accusing me of owning a rice rocket, or not be enough and not worth the $$. But honestly it is a very classy, subtle tone with enough aggression to let you know it's there. I probably wouldn't have replaced my exhaust if it weren't for an accident within 3 months of taking delivery (ran over an ejected dump truck driveshaft on I-5, a long story) which required complete replacement of my exhaust system. With insurance paying for labor and replacement parts, I was able to upgrade to the performance for like $800. I'm not often outside the car when it's running, but when I do have a friend tap the gas and it gurgles in the low frequency tone, I am honored to be the owner

I can't believe we found one at a reasonable price only three hours away from Seattle!

Awesome! I have the same car (2011) but in space gray w/oyster interior. Non-xDrive and without roof rails because I ordered it that way.

Enjoy!

Funny… we just picked up an F30 for my wife last weekend from BMW Seattle (FANTASTIC Dealership) and they were practically begging me to trade mine in. Not many MSport wagons w/factory 18’s exist in North America…

Nice combo! I dont think i've ever seen a space grey w/ oyster interior before. I too have the non-xdrive w/o roof rails and i love it! Better stance and slightly lower profile IMHO.

Haha, i can see BMW Seattle doing that...they're always looking for E91's given the demand. I like the dealership too, we bought our E53 X5 there back in 2008.

Hey Rick! It was GREAT meeting you today and sharing stories over some massive burgers. You have a beautiful wagon, enjoy it! Hope to see you at the next CCA event. Did you buy gas yet?
