Does your sat nav work?

as you can see in the pi the 2 round connector thats unplugged off the back of the oem quad lock and clip into harness

the sos connector is the one in the middle above the footwell light that is square in shape just see its connected up because to remove the footwell to make access easier it gets unplugged
Hey Nitesh,
Just had a quick look at the connectors in the footwell are and all seems to be right and plugged up.

Next port of call for me would be to remove the dash trims and check behind the HU for those two round connectors.. sadly i don't have any trim removal pieces though. I want to try and do this today

If however, I find that after getting behind the OEM HU that all the cables and plugs are where they should be, but my SOS warning light is still coming on when starting the car and that my Reverse Parking Chime is STILL not audible, what are my options then.. the TCU?

I cant remember if you (as I am viewing on myphone) have cleared the codes?
When mine came on, I plugged everything back in but the error still kept coming up until i cleared it?

Have you cleared to code and has come back up?

Check behind the HU - I have a good feeling the little conenctor has not been transfered. I just used a screwdriver which I masked up with masking tape and gently removed the trim

Cleared the code? You mean using the INPA connector? I don't have that and don't intend to, incase i get carried away coding (or trying to) and messing up LOL. I don't know whether I should just take it down to an Autologic place locally here (well reputed Indy) and have it cleared...

Only concern doing that is aren't I 'bypassing' the system rather the fixing the problem?!

Yes sorry i meant using inpa cable.

You wont be bypassing it because lets say for eg one of the connectors was loose in terms for sos, you power up the car it will log it as an error. If you then plug connector correctly it will still show fault error code and will need clearing. As long as you dont go too indepth with inpa and jusr clear codes its not that scary

That is why im thinking to have code read and cleared too see if it comes up if it doest probs down to connection

The wheel has truly transformed the feel of the car!

Here are a couple of extra pics of the wheel trims, the new gear + gaitor and the AEs Again, apologies for poor quality pics!
I quite like that M3 wheel without high gloss, but it might look better if your interior is same scheme. Nice debadgee too!

3. I was in London last night planning to attend a friends birthday and drove in. Half way up my OBC notified me I have a puncture so being RFTs I decided to slowly but surely drive on. Fund a safe place to park up and inspect....... Client see nothing but a full deflated rear driver tyre. Called up AA guys and they sent out a normal van to check the damage... He didn't have a spare tyre so he made some calls... Turned out No-one in London had a 255/30/19 tyre (although it was Saturday night).. So had to get another larger recovery lorry to come to my rescue since the 1st chap couldn't toe it....

...It was too low .. Gt lots of compliments from the guys recovering but still didn't help the fact that my tyre from the inner edge was totally ripped up how in the world did that happen.. Apparently I was driving with that for quite some time.... But it was only yesterday that I felt any weird judder.
LOL funny thing is that happened to me last night (midnight).

My front driver side tyre was fucked. The inner bit nearly came off.. I was flying down the M40 at 120mph and tyre pressure loss warning popped up. So I slowed down to 100mph and held the stearling wheel firmly but within 10 mins it was finished.

Had to call BMW resue to take me home. Quick service though 30 min response.

So should I take it straight down to the Indy now, before going behind the HU?

Man,
Had I known it was that easy to open up and get behind the OE HU, I'd have done it all myself. Before, I was too scared something might go wrong but with a little courage, it's a breeze - although small hands wouldn't go amiss!

Anyways, Nits, everything to me seems to be connected properly as they should be behind the HU and in the passenger footwell. Attached is a pic I took .. the only thing is I'm not which end of the green/black round connectors goes where, but both ends were connected... 1 in the Technic Harness and the other end into the quad lock.

Thanks for your help man!

Sam

P.S. Some more goodies arrived through the post today. I'll get them in hopefully tomorrow morning ahead of 'The Run' which I'm hoping to attend, but the weather is a B***h right now!!

Can coppaz fuck you over via online? Thats harsh. Other two reasons are understandable and considered, couldn't resist empty stretch of road. My bad.

Personally I love driving too much to risk losing my license but an empty stretch of road I know must be hard to resist.. Drive sensibly is all I'm saying

Nice guesses Steve, but no spacers, no bulbs and not an empty box either hehe.
Keep guessing
Once installed, I'll upload pics..

1. Box contains Red Air Scoops (Yes I know barely any gains, but Esthetically, it adds a 'mean' touch to the front). Once my Aero Lip comes up, I'm going to repaint / respray my Air Scoops a diff colour to match with my theme - stay tuned Pic is rubbish but it's hard to see through chrome grill.

I'll be respraying my grill to something else and then it'll be better seen hopefully.

2. Private Plate Bought and Fitted!

I did the plates in the freezing cold today.. fecking British weather! I decided not to drill my new plates but use sticky tape.. 6mm rear, 1mm front. Due it being so cold and my hands were almost numb, the positioning of the plates is not to satisfactory level for me.

Rear plate is positioned slightly too high and the right side is tad bit lower then left side. It's not wonky but if you go up close one may be able to tell

Front plate positioning is okay, but due to the curvature of the bumper, it was hard to get fully aligned by myself when so close up to it.

Next wekend, I'll get rhe heat gun out, melt the stick pads behind the plates, re-apply new sticky stuff and re-align to my liking! Anal or perfectionist, call it what you like

Anyways..

Rear Off, the filth was horrendous!

Looking good Mr S, when I changed my plates over the amount of dirt behind was unbelieveable, cannot understand how it all builds up behind but quite satisfying to clean that area before putting new plates on
